6 Covid-19 Pandemic Safety Precautions
It has been more than a year since the first cases of coronavirus were detected in India. So far, close to 3 crores, Indians have been infected with the disease, and close to 4 lakh Indians have lost their lives to it. The 2nd wave brought India to its knees, and the danger of the 3rd wave is looming large. The central and state governments, NGOs, and other institutions are doing their bit to help their fellow Indians. What can you do as an individual to avoid the spread of Covid-19? You must take the following six preventive measures to protect ourselves and our loved ones from this invisible enemy.
1. Wear a mask “properly” to stop the spread
Both individuals should wear a mask- the infected (who may be symptomatic or asymptomatic) and the one who is at the risk of getting infected. What is meant by wearing the mask “properly” is that mask worn should cover your nose and mouth properly. If there is a Covid patient in your house, you must wear a mask at home too. A mask also helps you cover your mouth while coughing or sneezing (if you are not wearing a mask, properly cover your mouth). Proper mask-wearing for everyone over the age of 2 in public is a must to prevent the spread.
2. Practise social distancing
In addition to proper mask-wearing, one must also maintain a minimum social distance of at least 6 feet (about two arm’s length) from each other, both at home and outside. Avoid crowded places to prevent the spread. You must also avoid places that are poorly ventilated. Social distancing practices are changes in behavior that essentially involve reducing physical contact with others to stop the spread of infectious diseases.
3. Get Vaccinated
Covid-19 vaccines available in India are authorized and will protect you from the serious impacts of infection with coronavirus. When the COVID-19 vaccination becomes available in your area, you should acquire it. 4. Wash Your Hands Properly and frequently
Wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, particularly after being in a public place, or after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing to remove the microbes from your hand to protect yourself and others. You may also sanitize your hand often with a (at least)60% alcohol hand sanitizer. With unwashed hands, avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
5. Keep clean
Keep your hands clean by washing with soap and water or by sanitizing them. You should also disinfect covid masks before putting them on. Keep sanitizing and disinfecting common touch-points in your house. You must wash your clothes when you return home from a public place. 6. Keep a watch on your health

1. Isolating yourself from other family members.
Isolating yourself from your family members is the best way to get them safe under the same roof. Covid 19 is so infectious even it can infect anyone from the air so the right way is to stay in a well-ventilated room that has a separate bathroom. Quarantine yourself for a week or two weeks may be good for your family member’s health. And the other thing you must do to get your family member’s covid test done because you were under the same roof. All those family members living under the same roof must be quarantined by each other.
2. Consult with your doctor.
Consulting with your doctor is the best way to get safe. You must tell them about your condition for further treatment. The doctor may prescribe you some medicines so your recovery rate will improve. Not telling your condition to the condition is not recommended.
